  • We desperately need some 9th and 10th graders for the Upward Bound program. If you are a student who would be the first member of your family to attend college and who could use some additional academic support, this would be a great opportunity for you. Upward Bound will give you help in school and some real fun experiences on ETSU’s campus over the summers. You can also get paid for participating. Applications are in the counseling office and are due October 18th. Please come to the counseling office for an application.
  • Volunteer Opportunity:  The YWCA is seeking student volunteers to work the Turkey Trot 5K on November 20th. Interested students should email [email protected] for more information.
  •  Students if you would like to earn some extra money tutoring a middle school student in math, please see Mrs. Skeens.
  • There will be no Leaps on Thursday(9/30) or Friday(10/1) this week.
  • Parent/Teacher conferences are on Thurs 9/30 from 3:00-6:00.
  • Fall Intersession will be held at each school beginning Tuesday, October 5th - Thursday, October 7th from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily. Students may register for half-day or full-day sessions. Must have own transportation if registering after 9/28. Form can be found on the BTCS main page under the tab Stay Informed-Fall Intersession. Half-Day: 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  Full-Day: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • The library will host an ANIME CLUB on Tuesdays and Thursday in the library from 2:30-3:30. If you have questions, stop by and see Ms. Silvers.  All are welcome!
  • Beta Club fees are due to Ms. Silvers or Mrs. Sauceman by Sept. 30.  Fees are $30. If you have extenuating circumstances that may make it difficult to pay, you MUST see Ms. Silvers or Mrs. Sauceman before the due date. Do not wait until the last minute.
  • Attention Seniors: The ETSU Roan Scholarship Application is now open.   For more information or to apply visit the scholarship tab on the school webpage.
  • Attention Seniors: On Tuesday, October 19, you will take the ACT test during regular school hours. This is your chance to take the test in a familiar and less-stressful environment, complete a big part of the college application process, and find out more about your path after high school.
  • Students who have had a business class in the past or will have a business class this year are eligible to join the FBLA club.  The cost is $30.  See Mrs. English in room 2115 for more details!
  • School strength and conditioning for wrestling will be Monday through Thursday.  If you are interested in wrestling you are encouraged to attend.  If you have any questions speak with Coach Shuler.
