NIAAA Student Athlete Scholarship 

Who: Senior Athletes
Where: Not Specified
Amount: $500 but up to $2,500
Deadline: February 18th  2021
Additional Information: Student-Athletes applying for this scholarship must have at least a 3.0GPA, have a 24 composite on the ACT or rank in the top 25% of their class. Student-Athletes must have also participated in at least 2 varsity level sports and lettered in one of them. Must obtain a letter of recommendation from our Athletic Director, Barry Wade. Students must also include a photo with application. Applications must be turned in to Mrs. Slagle in the Counseling Office on or before the deadline. Applications can be found on the THS Counseling Canvas, the Scholarship Website or the Scholarship Board in the Counseling Office.

Hart Sisters Nursing Scholarship 

Who: 1 Senior Female interested in pursuing a career in Nursing
Where: Any 2 or 4 year college or university
Amount: $2,500
Deadline: March 12, 2021
Additional Information: Scholarship requires a 250 – 500 word essay describing the intent to enter the nursing professions. Please address what this scholarship would mean to you and why you have chosen nursing as a career. With your application, please include a resume listing extracurricular activities, examples of leadership and community service. You’ll also need two letters of recommendations from two teachers emailed to Mrs. Slagle before the due date. 3.5 GPA and financial need required. Once you have compiled all of your application materials, please email them to Mrs. Slagle at  

Hart Sisters Scholarship 2021 Application

BTVAR Believing in Home Ownership Scholarship 

Who: Seniors
Where: Any 2 or 4 year college or university
Amount: $1,000
Deadline: March 31st, 2021
Additional Information: A complete application (attached) is required to be considered for this scholarship. Applicant must also write a 500-word essay addressing the topic of “What Home Ownership Means to Me.”  Complete applications and essays must be mailed to:

Betty Goah Diversity Scholars Program
Who: Seniors who have experienced diverse cultural backgrounds or are students of color
Where: Milligan
Amount: Full tuition
Deadline: February 12th, 2021
Additional Information: Student must have a minimum score of 21 composite on the ACT or a 3.0 GPA. Student must complete an application to Milligan prior to completing the scholarship application. Milligan’s general admissions application can be found here

Marjorie Watson Mathematics Scholarship

Who: Seniors
Where: University of Tennessee - Chattanooga
Amount: Up to $5,000 dispersed over 4 years

Deadline: February 15th, 2021

Applicants must submit 2 letters of recommendation from at least one recent math teacher, a transcript, ACT scores and a brief essay addressing the applicant's interest in a math degree.

Tennessee Concrete Association Essay Contest

Who: Students ages 16 - 18 years old
Where: Any TN college/university
Amount: Up to $250
Deadline: January 22nd, 2021

- TN Promise FAFSA completion deadline. Students can begin completing the 2021-2022 FAFSA October 1, 2020 at The 2021-2022 FAFSA will be based on 2019 tax information.
