This summer, Tennessee High School student Mataya McConnell had the opportunity to participate in the Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University.

The week-long program brought together high school students from across the country to explore environmental science, conservation, and leadership through hands-on learning, guest speakers, and experiences in the Washington, D.C., area.

We love seeing our students pursue opportunities that allow them to explore their interests, connect with peers from around the nation, and continue learning beyond the school year.

Congratulations, Mataya! We hope this experience inspires you as you continue your journey at Tennessee High School.
