ATTENTION SENIORS: The Mandatory TN Promise Meeting is now VIRTUAL!

Here is information about the virtual webinar:

Mandatory Meeting: While we hoped to be in many of the high schools this fall for the mandatory TN Promise meeting, out of an abundance of caution, the mandatory meeting will now be completed virtually. The mandatory webinar will be available on November 8, 2021 with a February 1, 2022 deadline to complete the requirement for students to maintain TN Promise eligibility.

  • They can view the mandatory webinar via their tnAchieves CONNECT account at their convenience. Students will need to do the following steps:
  • 1. Go to www.https://tnachieves.org/
  • 2. Find the STUDENTS tab and click on LOG INTO CONNECT
  • 3. Click on FIRST TIME USING CONNECT and create an account (You will need to remember your account information!) 
  • 4. Find the link for the Mandatory Webinar and watch completely before February 1st

French Club members the annual Fête de Noël is Wednesday, December 8th from 4:00-5:00PM at Blackbird Bakery. Please bring your wrapped, gender-neutral gift & REMEMBER! the price max is $1.00...oui, $1.00.  Also, French Club officers we have a meeting THIS Wednesday, December 1st after school in Madame Toby's room.  Merci, thank you!  The Tennessee High Desire to Lead Athletic Leadership team is collecting personal hygiene items for BTCS students in need.  There will be bins in the main office to deposit your items.  This is to help those in need during this season of giving. Please deposit these items to the main office by December 15.

Johnia Berry Toy Drive is accepting donations of new unwrapped toys for children ages up to 14. Drop off barrels are located in the front office through Friday 12/3/21.

 

EOC schedule

Nov. 30 – December 2: English I & English II EOCs

December 1: No Homeroom Bell Schedule. Students enrolled in a 3rd period English I or English II class will eat 1st lunch.

December 2: Students will report to class in the following order: 4, 2, 3, 1. First and Third period English I and English II students will eat 1st lunch.

December 3: English EOC Makeups in the library at 7:30.

December 6 – 7: Alg. 1, Math 2, and Alg. 2 EOCs

December 6: Students will report to classes in the following order: 2, 4, 3, 1. First and third period Math 2 and Algebra 2 students will eat 1st lunch.

December 7: No Homeroom Bell Schedule. Mrs. Strong’s and Mr. Mooney’s 3rd period classes will eat first lunch. December 8 – 9: U.S. History EOC

December 8 and December 9: No Homeroom Bell Schedule. Mr. Shanks and Mr. Taylor’s third period will eat first lunch.

 

December 10: Biology EOC

December 10: No Homeroom Schedule

 

The full EOC schedule is posted on the THS website and to THS social media pages.

EOCs will be administered on computers, so don’t forget to charge your laptop the night before each exam!    

 

Any Beta members who did not receive their pin, certificate, or shirt at last Tuesday’s ceremony should come to the library to pick up these items.

Governor School applications are due prior to Christmas break to Mrs. Skeens.

ATTENTION SENIORS: FAFSA is now open for seniors to fill out for the 2022-2023 school year. Go to: https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.

 

Here are some videos to help you fill out the FAFSA: https://www.etsu.edu/financial-aid-and-scholarships/fatv.php. If you plan to go to ANY college/university or TCAT, you MUST fill out the FAFSA. The deadline to fill out the FAFSA and stay eligible for TN Promise is February 1st, 2022. However, fill out the FAFSA as soon as you can to ensure you receive any federal aid or scholarships you might qualify for. See your THS counselor if you need help.

FCA will meet in the auditorium every Friday after school.

All library books due from last year should be turned in immediately.
