Nathaniel Morefield is the senior editor for the Maroon and White. He enjoys playing guitar, singing, animals, and eating muffins. He plans to have a career in different fields of writing including poetry, screenplays, and children's books.

Piper Booher
Art Assistant
Piper Booher is a senior within Tennessee High within Maroon & White. Piper’s main interests include everything classic rock and counterculture, paleontology & anthropology, drawing, karate, and guitar! Within the school years, Piper’s main goal was to get into Maroon & White and add conversations, maybe even get points across, about said interests above to all who read the newspapers.

Joseph Burriss
Business Manager
Joseph Burriss, born and raised in Bristol, Tennessee, is a Junior at Tennessee High School. Though he is unsure of his career path, Joseph finds both humanities and the sciences to be interesting and he plans to continue education by attaining an undergraduate at a four year university and possibly beyond. In his free time he enjoys playing guitar, making and drinking coffee, and has a love-hate relationship with running.

Caitlin Vining
Media Manager
Caitlin Vining, from Bristol Tennessee, is a junior at Tennessee High School. Caitlin intends to continue education by possibly attending the University of Tennessee Knoxville, she is considering majoring in forensic psychology and then going to graduate school for law. She has been a member of the varsity cheer team for 3 years. Caitlin enjoys cheering, listening to music, and ranting.

Halle Mullins
Head Layout Editor

Halle Mullins is a junior at Tennessee High School and 2022-2023 Maroon and White layout editor. She is part of madrigals, BYL, theater productions, and Civinettes. She enjoys watching trashy reality TV shows, reading, and listening to music. After high school, Halle plans to go to a 4-year college and then attend law school. 

Hayden Arnett

  Hayden Arnett, from Johnson City, TN, is a sophomore at Tennessee High School. Hayden intends to continue education by majoring in English and hopefully becoming a journalist in the future. He enjoys baking, reading, and listening to music. 

Joan Weddington
Art Director
Joan Weddington, a junior at Tennessee High, is a journalist and part of the art team, specializing in comics and illustrations for the paper.
Joan is a part of the Tennessee High color guard and is involved in the school's art program. In her free time, Joan enjoys painting both on canvas and on digital and playing video games. 

Caden Cartwright
Grammar Advisor
Caden Cartwright is a junior at Tennessee High School, and is involved in several extracurricular activities including the following: robotics, TSS, and volleyball—each being at THS—as well as karate and piano. He is planning on going into engineering and architecture in the future. Caden is working for the staff in the fall and spring semesters and he is semi-ironically ecstatic to police grammar in upcoming publications.

Kaylee Hamrick, hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a junior at Tennessee High School. During her freshman year she joined the THS cheerleading squad and to this day wishes to recommence the art club. She thoroughly enjoys film photography, journaling, skateboarding, astronomy, and spending time with her lovely pets: cattle dog Snoopy and hamster Mr. President.

Callie Eckley is currently a junior at Tennessee High. This year she will be the Maroon and White's Assistant Editor during both semesters. Callie plans to further her education in both the Computer Science and Writing/Journalism fields of study. Callie is apart of the cheerleading team and firecracker squad. She enjoys learning new instruments, playing/watching video games, writing, reading, and fashion.

Ryan Bunning, from Bristol, Tennessee, is a junior at Tennessee High School. Ryan is a member of the THS Viking Robotics Team and enjoys learning about urban planning as well as political history. He is grateful for being a part of the 2022 fall staff and looks forward to the upcoming semester.
