Class Officers 2020

Attention Seniors: ACT Vouchers for October and December test dates are available in the counseling office. The deadline to register for the October test has been extended to October 5.


FBLA will have an organizational meeting on Thursday, Oct. 15, during Viking Time in Mrs. English's room (2115). In-person learners who are interested should report to her room.  Remote learners should email Mrs. English to let her know they are interested and to be invited to join a Teams meeting.



Attention Senior Students and Parents! Need help with the FAFSA?

The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, and the 2021-2022 application opens tomorrow, Thursday October 1st!

FAFSA Line-by-Line Webinars will be held each Monday beginning Oct. 5 at 6 pm CT / 7pm ET. The webinar will take a student/parent through the FAFSA from start through submission.

FAFSA FAQ Webinars will be held each Friday beginning Oct. 9 at 11:30 am CT / 12:30 pm ET. This webinar provides a forum to ask questions about the FAFSA.

Pre-registration is required. Webinars are recommended for students and parents.

If the student plans to take clinical internship class next semester, they MUST obtain a copy of proof of the flu vaccine administered when they get it here at school. It is nearly impossible to track down once they leave and months have gone by. They can bring that directly to Mrs. Moore, and she will file it away safe until needed next semester.

The upcoming ACT tests are Oct. 10, 17,24, & 25 and Dec. 12.

Therefore, THS will host ACT Boot Camp study nights from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm on the following dates: 

Tuesday - Thursday (immediately after fall break), Oct. 13-15

Monday - Thursday, Oct. 19-22

No boot camps in November (no ACT tests in November)

Monday - Thursday, December 7- 10

There are only a few seats still open for the October 14 PSAT. Sophomores and juniors interested in taking the exam should register and pay the $17.00 exam fee as soon as possible. The deadline to register is October 1.  


Students with library books overdue from last year should have received a notice in the mail.  All fines have been erased for these but will start accruing on Oct 1.  If you still have a library book from last year, please return to the library ASAP to avoid fines.


 Beta Club dues are due Oct. 2. Late payments will not be accepted. If you have extenuating circumstances, you must see Ms. Hayes or Mrs. Sauceman BEFORE the due date.

Permission slips for the flu vaccine that will be given here at school are due back by September 28, 2020 for Students A-L (last name).  Students M-Z would need to bring theirs back by 9/25/20. 


Senior ads will be accepted through Sept 28. Ads may be turned into Mrs. Vickers in 3431 or emailed to vickersa@btcs.org  Ads purchased online at Jostens.com are due Oct 11.


Yearbooks may be purchased online at Jostens.com.  The cost is $60.00


Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will have their photos made next week, according to the following schedules.

Tues., Sept 29 (A-L)

Fri., Oct. 2 (M-Z)

Digital learners may drop in 9:00-1:00 (except 11: 15-11:30) to have their photos made. 

Faculty, staff, and administration should have their photos made on one of these days prior to 1:30

Ordering envelopes will be available in homeroom and at the front desk.  Students may also order online at mylifetouch.com (Picture day Id – EVTGKBD9C)


FCA meets on Mondays after school in the auditorium.


LEAPs Afterschool Program started up again on Tuesday September 8. 


 THS is pleased to offer the following ACT National Test Dates for October:

  • Saturday, October 10
  • Saturday, October 17
  • Saturday, October 24
  • Sunday, October 25

 Spaces are limited and expected to fill up fast. Students are encouraged to register at actstudent.org today. Deadline for all October test dates is Friday, September 25. No late fees!
