ACT Vouchers for October and December test dates are available in the counseling office. If you want to test in October, you must pick up your voucher and register for the test by this Friday. The deadline to register for the December test is November 6.

Beta Club Dues are due Oct. 2. Late payments will not be accepted. If you have extenuating circumstances, you must see Ms. Hayes or Mrs. Sauceman BEFORE the due date.

National Honor Society candidates: Please complete and submit your application by midnight on the due date Friday, September 25.  Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. 


Midterm exams will take place next week. We will be on a no homeroom schedule. On Wednesday, 9/30, you will take 1st and 3rd exams. (These will be ALL online as we are not physically in school that day). On Thursday 10/1, you will take 2nd and 4th exams. (In-person M-Z learners will take them in class, and remote learners will take them online.)
We will begin individual senior meetings on Monday, September 21st. Students have been sent an invitation to a senior meeting via Microsoft Teams. Parents are invited to join us! In order to join the meeting ,please have your student forward you the link from their notification. We have also posted a senior packet and senior meeting video to Canvas, as well as a survey for the student to complete prior to their meeting. The survey will help us personalize the meeting to meet each student's individual needs.

Forms for this year's flu shot clinic were given out in homeroom this week. Please return ASAP. They are due Sept. 28.  The date of the clinic is to be announced.


Yearbooks may be purchased online at Jostens.com.  The cost is $60.00


Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will have their photos made next week, according to the following schedules.

Tues., Sept 29 (A-L)     Fri., Oct. 2 (M-Z)

Digital learners may drop in 9:00-1:00 (except 11: 15-11:30) to have their photos made. 

**Faculty, staff, and administration should have their photos made on one of these days prior to 1:30

Ordering envelopes will be available in homeroom and at the front desk.  Students may also order online at mylifetouch.com (Picture day Id – EVTGKBD9C)

On Tuesday, September 22, seniors will take an official ACT test during regular school hours. Since the exam format is paper/pencil, both remote and on-site learners will need to report to THS by 7:30 am. Students will test in small groups and only with peers on the same path. Due to the strict requirements per ACT and to ensure appropriate safety precautions are followed (including social distancing, group size, etc.) we will only have seniors (approximately 275) in attendance on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd. 

Due to Tuesday being "Seniors Only," A-L students (including seniors) will attend school on Monday (9/21) AND Wednesday (9/23), instead of Monday AND Tuesday.  M-L Students (including seniors) will still attend school on Thursday AND Friday.  


Senior ads will be accepted through Sept 28. Ads may be turned into Mrs Vickers in 3431 or emailed you vickersa@btcs.org

Ads purchased online at Jostens.com are due Oct. 11.


FCA meets on Mondays after school in the auditorium.


All books checked out during last school year will be renewed and have a due date of September 30.  All fines before this date have been removed.  Fines will begin accruing once again beginning October 1, so to avoid fines, books from last year MUST BE TURNED IN DURING THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER.

Beta Club:  Invitations for new members to join were sent to homes in the mail on Tuesday.  Juniors and seniors (who didn’t join last year) with a total numeric average of 93 or above should receive invitations. If you did not receive an invitation and believe that you should have, please stop by the library or email Mrs. Sauceman (saucemanb@btcs.org) or Ms. Hayes (hayess@btcs.org).


LEAPs Afterschool Program will begin on Tuesday September 8. 


Any girl interested in playing basketball that is NOT in a fall sport is invited to participate in preseason. Please email Coach Bright at bright@btcs.org for more information. Workouts start next week.
