Marsh Regional Blood Center’s Fall Blood Drive at Tennessee High School will be Monday, September 9, 2019 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. You may sign up in the office and return a permission form. Donors must be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 lbs.

Today is the last day for current
National Honor Society members to vote for officers. The ballot is available on the NHS Canvas page. 

On September 17th, ETSU will be waiving their application fee
for admissions. This is a $25 savings! If you are interested in applying for the Roan Scholarship, it would be wise to wait until September 17th to apply to ETSU.  If you want to be added to the reminder list, stop by the Counseling Office to sign up!

LSF, The TN High French Club is extending its enrollment through Tuesday, September 10th.  LSF is open to anyone who has completed 2 semesters of French and are currently enrolled. Please contact Ms. Toby if you are unable to come during Viking Time that day for the meeting so she can add you to the club roster. Club dues are $5 and the deadline for paying is Tuesday, September 24th, thank you, merci.

Please turn in your Health Information form ASAP. Without the Student Health Information form on file, students will not be administered any mediation including cough drops. 

Current National Honor Society members need to visit the club Canvas page for officer nominations. This will close on Wednesday, September 4. 

THS Aquavikes will host their 3rd annual 1 mile
Color run Sat. Sept 28th. Late registration will be that morning at 9am in Southside parking lot. This will also be the location for T-shirt pickup. 10am race starts. Entry fee is $10.00 and includes a t-shirt if preregistered by 8/13. The THS class/club/sport with the highest percentage of participants will receive a pizza/pool party. See any Aquavike or the front office for a registration form.

Senior ads
submitted at THS are due Sept 13 to Mrs. Vickers. Jostens Online senior ads due Sept 30.

Mr. Goodman has an opportunity available for students to earn
volunteer hours on 9/14 with Appalachian Service Project. No experience required and has the potential to earn 6-8 community service hours. Any student who is interested should see Mr. Goodman in room #1140. He is also looking for teachers that would be willing to volunteer as well due to needing 1 adult per every 5 student volunteers. There will be additional opportunities in the future to volunteer with this organization if this date doesn’t work for you.

Sept. 20 – underclassmen, faculty, staff, and administration
retakes, Sept. 24 – Senior court; Court members will be dismissed at 10:00 to dress, Oct. 25  - Junior Court and Club photos.

First Priority Club
, We are meeting each Wednesday morning from 7:00 – 7:15 a.m. in room 2447, Mrs. Amber Davis’s room# 2447.

will meet after school in the auditorium on Thursdays from 2:45-3:15.

Mrs. Sutherland’s
ACT ACADEMY will be taught from 3:00 –4:00 pm on fourteen WONDERFUL Wednesdays in the THS Library after school. It’s FREE. We will PRACTICE ACT questions & discuss all things ACT.  Those Wednesday’s are: Aug 21 & 28  Sept 4, 11, 18 & 21  Oct 16, 23, & 30  Nov. 6, 13, & 27  Dec. 4 & 11

Reminder: A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Emergency supply kits can help you be prepared. Items to keep in your emergency kit include a flashlight, batteries, first aid kit, whistle, phone lists, paper, pencil, water, and non-perishable snacks.

If you checked out a summer reading book from the THS library, please return it ASAP.

We will not be able to refund any money lost in the vending machines. If you choose to purchase food or drinks you are taking the risk of losing whatever amount you have inserted in the machines.
