  • Students can join FBLA for only $30 by September 14th.  Students who have Ms. English for a teacher or who have been in FBLA in the past may join.  You will need to pay by Friday, September 14th if you wish to run for office or vote for officers.  You can pay by cash or check to Ms. English in room 2115.
  • For the class officer/court results, click here.  Due to a tie, freshman results will be announced later.
  • There will be an optional tennis practice from 3:00 to 4:30 after school today, September 11th, at the tennis courts beside Vance Middle School.
  • LEAPs afterschool Programs will be cancelled on Thursday due to parent/teacher conferences. 
  • Students who have had completed French 1 and French 2 as well as those currently enrolled in French are eligible for French Club this year and are welcome to attend this Friday's club meeting in Madame Toby's room during club time.  Also, if you are interested in club leadership, be sure to come to the meeting! 
  • Retakes for freshmen, sophomores, juniors, faculty, staff, and administration will be Sept 21. If students want to purchase a package, they may order online using the code AA508009Y1 or by picking up an ordering envelope in the guidance office. If a student had previously ordered a package and desires a retake, he or she will need to return the package to the photographer to avoid the sitting fee. This is the last chance to appear in the yearbook.
  • First Priority:  Please come to Wellness room 2447 every Wednesday morning from 7:00 – 7:15 a.m. for an encouraging club meeting.  All are WELCOME!  Yes, that’s you.  (We often serve food, too.)
  • Civinettes is now accepting applications for any sophomore, junior, or senior female interested in joining but missed the opportunity to do so in the spring. Applications can be found in the new front office. Applications will be accepted until September 11th.
  • Invitations to Beta Club were mailed to students’ home addresses Wednesday. Juniors and seniors (who didn’t join last year) with above a 93 average were invited to join.  If you have not received an invite and you believe you should, please stop by the library and see Mrs. Sauceman or Ms. Hayes.
  • Senior ads are due to Mrs. Vickers (3432) or to Jostens.com by Sept 7. Students who need  senior ad information may pick it up in the guidance office. Please see Mrs. Vickers if you have any questions.
  • The LEAPs after-school program is now open for students!  Hours of operation are from 2:30 PM-5:30 PM daily.  Students should report to the Wellness room (#2447) and report to Mr. Andrew Cross.  THS will offer several after-school activities/clubs that are available to students through the LEAPs grant.  Starting dates and further information for those actives and clubs will be given later.  If interested in joining an after-school activity or club, please contact Mr. Andrew Cross for further details.
  • Edgemont Tower need volunteers to do small jobs around the building.  If interested, please call Edgemont Tower office at 423-797-4451 and ask for Donna.  This is a great way to get community hours.
  • ACT ACADEMY by Mrs. Sutherland will be on Wednesdays in the THS Library after school from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. We will PRACTICE ACT questions and discuss all things ACT. 
  • Anyone interested in Wrestling needs to meet for Pre-season Wrestling Practice Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 2:45 at the Coach’s Office.  Beginner wrestlers are welcome. 
  • Students may still order photos online using the code AA508009Y0.
  • The Marsh Regional Blood Drive will be held at Tennessee High School on September 14, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.  The sign-up sheet will be in the Guidance Office along with a letter that must be signed by a parent or guardian.  No one will be allowed to give blood unless the permission slip is signed and returned.
