  • Students, need community service hours? The YWCA needs volunteers for the 5K Turkey Trot race on Saturday, November the 17th. You will need to be there from 7AM to 11AM. If interested, please contact Kateela Serrano,
  • Members of Beta Club and National Honors Society who are new inductees or have speaking parts must report to the auditorium on Friday, November 9, during Viking Time to practice for the induction ceremony. 
  • Viking Buddies need to go by and see Ms. Anderson at some point today in Room 1159.
  • Students please download the Viking Nation App and check in each morning for points to win free gifts.
  • Jostens will be here during lunches on Tuesday, November 6th to take cap and gown orders.
  • Our next RACE Camp will be held on November 12.  The deadline for bus transportation is November 7.  If you need an extra day to complete assignments, please return your form as soon as possible.  The forms may be picked up from your classroom teacher or in the main office.
  • Attention freshmen and sophomore students:  The ETSU Upward Bound Program is now taking applications for our newest class of students. UB is a program designed to help students succeed in high school and achieve their goal of going to college. If you are interested in applying or would like more information about UB, please stop by to see the Upward Bound Representative in the cafeteria during lunch on Monday, Nov. 5.  Applications will also be available in guidance the week of Nov. 5 and will be due Nov. 13th.
  • Welcome!  Please come to Wellness room 2447 every Wednesday morning from 7:00 – 7:15 a.m. for an encouraging club meeting:  First Priority.  All are WELCOME!  Yes, that’s you.  (We often serve food, too.)
  • The LEAPs after-school program is now open for students!  Hours of operation are from 2:30 PM-5:30 PM daily.  Students should report to the Wellness room (#2447) and report to Mr. Andrew Cross.  THS will offer several after-school activities/clubs that are available to students through the LEAPs grant.  Starting dates and further information for those actives and clubs will be given at a later date.  If interested in joining an after-school activity or club, please contact with Mr. Andrew Cross for further details”.
  • ACT ACADEMY by Mrs. Sutherland  will be on WONDERFUL Wednesdays in the THS Library after school from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. We will PRACTICE ACT questions and discuss all things ACT.  (It used to be on Thursdays, but it’s now Wednesdays to permit percussion and THS band to come….so show up!).

  • Tennessee High Wrestling Season begins October 29th.  All wrestlers must have a Sports Physical and Health Data Form completed before they can practice. Practice will begin on the Viking Hall stage right after school.  Forms can be picked up at the Athletic Office in Viking Hall from Patty Feathers.  Girls and Boys interested in wrestling can contact Coach Marshall (423) 340-1900,, or on campus Coach Goodman in room 1140,
