Attention rising 11th and 12th graders: The 2021 Tennessee Governor's Schools applications are now available. The Tennessee Governor’s Schools provide eleven challenging and high-intensity programs for rising 11th and 12th grade students. Students interested in participating in a Governor's School should go online to obtain the application. Submission information, and critical deadlines for the upcoming summer’s Tennessee Governor’s Schools is published on the Tennessee Governor School website or https://www.tn.gov/education/instruction/tdoe-governors-schools.html.  Students who would like to apply need to be in the top 10% of their class and be interested in spending up to 6 weeks on a college campus over the summer. Application materials require input from students, parents, and multiple educators. Students interested in the Governor School for the Arts are expected to complete student application materials and return them to Mrs. Skeens by Thanksgiving Break. All other Governor School applications are due to Mrs. Skeens by Christmas break.

Please make sure that you have your parking lot stickers displayed properly in your vehicle.  All students who park on campus in either the Sr. Parking Lot or the Southside Parking Lot must have their vehicle registered in the office (see Ms. Alley in the business office for the required paperwork) and have the proper parking lot sticker displayed in the windshield of their vehicle.  Vehicles that are not registered with the school and do not display a LOT PARKING PASS are considered to be parked illegally and are subject to towing at the owners expense.  Only properly registered vehicles with the current 2020-21 Parking Lot Window Stickers will be allowed to park in campus parking lots after Friday, November 6th.

If the student plans to take clinical internship class next semester, they MUST obtain a copy of proof of the flu vaccine administered when they get it here at school. It is nearly impossible to track down once they leave and months have gone by. They can bring that directly to Mrs. Moore and I will file it away safe until needed next semester.

Yearbooks may be purchased online at Jostens.com.  The cost is $60.00

A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Emergency supply kits can help you be prepared. Items to keep in your emergency kit include a flashlight, batteries, first aid kit, whistle, phone lists, paper, pencil, water, and non-perishable snacks.
