  • Don't forget to complete your summer reading. We will host a summer reading celebration to reward students who complete the reading over the summer. An assessment will be given to all students, those scheduled for English in the FALL AND SPRING, at the beginning of school in August to determine attendance eligibility.  The texts will also be used in classroom instruction.  For a list of the texts, visit
  • The library will be open during summer break on June 6, 11, 13, 18, and 20 and July 9, 11, 16, 18, and 23. The hours will be from 12:00 to 4:00 on those days. 
  • Coach Wade has emailed our Spring Sport Athletics a link for the athletic survey that needs to be completed as soon as possible.  If you played a Spring Sport and did not receive this link or if you have any questions please contact Coach Wade for assistance. 
  • All library materials are now due.  Please return them as soon as possible, and pay any fines you may have accrued.
  • If you signed up to take AP Biology next year, 2019-2020 school year, please come see Mrs. Wood before the end of the school year for summer assignments.
  • Lost and found items that have been turned in during this school year will be placed in the former main office area by Wednesday, May 15th.   If you have lost an item, please come by and look to see if it is in the office as soon as possible.  Everything that has not been claimed by Friday, May, 24th will be given to charity.  We have a huge amount of jackets and other things that have been collected and need to be claimed.
  • Track team members are reminded to turn in all equipment to Coach Irvin as soon as possible.
  • Senior portraits will be taken at THS May 29-31. Students will have an appointment. If you have any questions, contact Lifetouch 764-3778. 
  • The last day of THS LEAPs Afterschool Program will be Wednesday May 22, 2019.
  • This year, THS will be offering a shuttle service during graduation.  Two shuttles (buses) will run every 10-12 minutes beginning at 6 pm and ending at the start of graduation.  They will also run after graduation until 10 pm.  Shuttle pick-up locations (parking locations) include HAYNESFIELD ELEMENTARY (Parking lot behind the school and along Edgemont Ave), VANCE MIDDLE SCHOOL (Parking lot beside the gym),  BTCS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES (Parking lot off Alabama St), BRISTOL MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT (Parking lot off Anderson St/Shelby St). 
  • Seniors, please turn in your Graduation Behavior Agreements to Mrs. Whitaker as soon as possible.  You will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony if that is not on file.
  • Anyone new wishing to join the fall marching band should see Mr. Semones as soon as possible for information. The band is seeking anyone with guitar, bass, string, percussion, or keyboard experience; however, the only real requirement is a great work ethic.
  • We will not be able to refund any money lost in the vending machines.  If you choose to purchase food or drinks you are taking the risk of losing whatever amount you have inserted in the machines.
  • Students, Your laptop must be carried in your school-issued backpack. Students found carrying their device in other backpacks, will have their device confiscated.
  • Students please download the Viking Nation App and check in each morning for points to win free gifts.  
  • Students may still order photos online using the code AA508009Y0.
