  • Spring wrestling workouts will begin Tuesday, March 26, after school in Viking Hall.  We will begin with weightlifting and an hour of mat time.  There will be a meeting after school Tuesday, March 26, in the wrestling coach’s office in Viking Hall for any students interested in wrestling next year.  We have five graduating seniors this season, so there will be open spots to fill on the varsity team next year.   Girls and boys interested in wrestling are encouraged to attend the meeting and spring practice if you are not already participating in a spring sport.  If you are interested and can’t attend, please contact Coach Goodman at goodmanb@btcs.org or come by room #1140.
  • The Tennessee High School Firecracker Squad is expanding its team for the 2019-2020 school year. The Firecracker Squad is an inclusive spirit squad for students of varying abilities. Any current 9th, 10th, or 11th grader who wants to participate may pick up an application in the main office. All applications will need to be returned to Ms. Anderson or Mrs. Vance by March 29th. An interview process will be conducted afterwards to determine members of the team. Please note, this is a TEAM activity. All practices and events are mandatory. We will be performing at 10-15 home sporting events from August to February. We are looking for students who will be available to attend all events and will demonstrate good leadership skills. For those interested, an information session will be held Thursday, March 14th, immediately after school in Coach Stubbs room (1160). If you have any questions, feel free to contact Ms. Anderson (1159, andersonc@btcs.org) or Mrs. Vance (1156A, vanceac@btcs.org).
