  • If you are interested in Cyber Security, Computer Science or Hacking, Girls go Cyber is for you. Students who participate are eligible to win scholarships. Please see Mrs. Del Gaudio in room 2213 during Viking Time today, 1/10/2020, if you are interested.
  • Track and Field will have an organizational meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 15, immediately after school in the auditorium. This meeting should last about 30 minutes. This is for anyone interested in running track and NOT participating in a winter sport. If you have a winter sport, let Coach Irvin know that you plan on participating in track.  Please bring something to write with, and remember, no food or drinks allowed in the auditorium.
  • There will be an informational meeting this Friday during Viking Time in Coach Snyder's room (3421) for anyone interested in playing boys' soccer. 
  • Kids K-12 have the chance to get their artwork on a Sullivan County Billboard through the Substance abuse prevention billboard contest!  The artwork can be any type of media, and can be about any substance as long as it is substance abuse prevention messages. SUBMIT YOUR POSTER ONLINE NOW UNTIL JAN 7, 2020 on this website:  https://1.shortstack.com/CBZwWT . Then friends and family can go the website and vote for their favorite one. The artwork with the most votes by January 31st will be put on a billboard during February. 
  • Congratulations to the winners of the Eastman Black History Oratory Contest. Maddy Wilson, who wrote an essay on the renowned writer Toni Morrison, and Sydney Smith, who wrote an essay on cancer researcher Jane Cook Wright, will present their essays at Eastman in January. Each young lady will be awarded a minimum of $250 for her work.  Emma Cross and Grace Johnson placed in the Top 15 and will also be honored at Eastman. 
  • Attention Seniors:  Just a reminder that all TN Scholar volunteer hours (80) are due in the counseling office by January 15th.  Hours for graduation recognition (10 each semester) will be due at a later date. However, please remember hours completed over Christmas break can be counted for either semester.  The holidays are a great opportunity for volunteer experience. Please take advantage of this opportunity to give back to your community!
  • A fire can break out with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Smoke detectors should be located on every floor of your home and near all places that you and your family sleep. Smoke detector batteries should be changed on a regular basis.
  • Please bring Shoes, gently used, to Mrs. Sutherland in room 3414.  First Priority is sending shoes to ETCHA in Elizabethton.  TENNIS SHOES?  Yes!  Sandals?  Yes!  Kids’ shoes?  Yes!  No high heels, please.  Questions?  Ask Topher Emerine, Corey Smith, Seth Emerine, Logan Smith, Ennelisa Sutton, or any First Priority student…or Mrs. Sutherland. 
  • For all the breakfast locations, students can use their meal accounts or by using cash.  You can purchase a breakfast, snack items, drinks, or add funds to your account.    We hope to serve you Breakfast on the Go!!

  • ACT Boot Camps: Before the Feb. 8, 2020, ACT National Saturday test, camp will be held Monday-Thursday, February, 3-6 5:30 – 7:30 pm
  • ACT Boot Camps:  Before the ACT Tuesday, March 31, Juniors only ACT test during school and the Saturday National test on April 4, 2020--camp will be held Wednesday-Thursday & Monday, March 25, 26, & 30, 5:30-7:30 pm.
  • ACT Boot Camps:  Before the National test on Saturday, April 4, camp will be held Wednesday-Thursday, April 1-2, 5:30-7:30 pm.
  • ACT Boot Camps:  Before the National test on Saturday, June 13, camp will be held Monday-Thursday, June 8-11, 3 pm – 5 pm daily.
