Please be aware that the main office will not interrupt classes during scheduled exam times. Teachers will not release students to sign out during scheduled exam times. Students are to remain in their classrooms during the entire scheduled exam time. Teachers will not accept parent text messages to release students from scheduled exams.


Kids K-12 have the chance to get their artwork on a Sullivan County Billboard through the Substance abuse prevention billboard contest! 
The artwork can be any type of media, and can be about any substance as long as it is substance abuse prevention messages. SUBMIT YOUR POSTER ONLINE NOW UNTIL JAN 7, 2020 on this website:  https://1.shortstack.com/CBZwWT . Then friends and family can go the website and vote for their favorite one. The artwork with the most votes by January 31st will be put on a billboard during February. 

Attention seniors: Just a reminder that all TN Scholar volunteer hours (80) are due in the counseling office by January 15.  Hours for graduation recognition (10 each semester) will be due at a later date. Although, please remember hours completed over Christmas break can be counted for either semester.  The holidays are a great opportunity for volunteer experience. Please take advantage of this opportunity to give back to your community!

Beta Club will be sponsoring a picture book drive for Bristol Early Head Start and Head Start from 12/2-13.  Students can donate gently used picture books through their first period teachers. The top two first period classes based on donations (total donations and percentage of books to students) will be treated to breakfast during the last week of the semester.  

Please bring Shoes, gently used, to Mrs. Sutherland in room 3414.  First Priority is sending shoes to Africa.  TENNIS SHOES?  Yes!  Sandals?  Yes!  Kids’ shoes?  Yes!  No high heels, please.  Questions?  Ask Topher Emerine, Corey Smith, Seth Emerine, Logan Smith, Ennelisa Sutton, or any First Priority student…or Mrs. Sutherland. 

Rachel’s Challenge is sponsoring a Christmas Card initiative:  cards for your bus drivers, the THS custodial staff, and the cafeteria ladies.  Would you like to compose a sweet, encouraging card?  Come see Mrs. Sutherland in 3414 OR any Rachel’s Challenge member.  We want to deliver them in December. 

For all the breakfast locations, students can use their meal accounts or by using cash.  You can purchase a breakfast, snack items, drinks, or add funds to your account.    We hope to serve you Breakfast on the Go!!

Littlest Angel Child Care Center at Avoca Christian Church is looking for ONE volunteer per day to help with Avoca Elementary children’s homework in the after-school child care from 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm. You can earn volunteer hours.  You can volunteer only one day a week if you wish. Are you interested?  See Mrs. Sutherland in room 3414.

ACT Boot Camps Preceding the Dec. 14, 2019 ACT National Saturday: Camp will be held Monday-Thursday, December 9-12, 5:30 – 7:30 pm. All are welcome.  Bring calculator and pencil.
