  • Junior and Senior Court voting will be in homeroom tomorrow.  The link for voting will be posted as a Canvas announcement and will be texted out via Remind.

  •  ATTENTION French Club! Please turn in the $5 dues to Madame Toby (Room 1218) by 1 September 2021!! If you have not joined our Remind group, please do so ASAP by texting @thscerc to 81010. Our first meeting will be after the Labor Day break during Homeroom!  Please stand by for date & place because I want to try and meet during Viking Time!

  • Robotics will meet Tues 8/31 and Wed 9/1 after school in 1138.
  • The practice SAT, the PSAT, will be given at THS on Tuesday, Oct. 26, during first and second period. Any juniors interested in taking this college entrance exam please bring $17.00 into the counseling office as soon as possible. The PSAT is the qualifying test that students must take in their junior year to enter the National Merit Scholarship Competitions for college scholarships that will be awarded in 2021. Although the test is aimed at students in the 11th grade, sophomores are encouraged to take it as practice for their junior year. Complete this Registration Form & bring cash or a check made out to Tennessee High School into the counseling office by September 14, 2021. Spaces are limited; please don’t wait to sign up!   • FREE SAT Opportunity for THS Seniors! Seniors interested in taking a free SAT on Thursday, October 28, 2021 must complete this registration form by September 14, 201. Check your homeroom Canvas page or the THS Testing Information webpage for more information.
  • SENIORS: On Tuesday, October 19, you will take the ACT test during regular school hours. This is your chance to take the test in a familiar and less-stressful environment, complete a big part of the college application process, and find out more about your path after high school.

  • Students who have had a business class in the past or will have a business class this year are eligible to join the FBLA club.  The cost is $30.  See Mrs. English in room 2115 for more details!

  • The TN High Counseling Office will be hosting a Senior Parent/Student Information Night. We will cover topics such as college applications, financial aid, TN Promise, check lists for during and after high school, and much more. Please plan to attend (SENIOR parents and students)! The event will be in the THS Auditorium on Tuesday September 14th at 5:30 PM. 
  • THS will host a blood drive on Tuesday, Sept. 14.  Donors must be 17 or over.  Students may sign up in Mrs. Phillips’ room if they wish to donate.  Blood donors must be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds.  They cannot have a history of hepatitis, heart disease, or a positive HIV test.  Other health requirements include no cold or flu in the past week; no antibiotics in the past week; no pregnancy in the past six weeks; surgical procedures will need to be evaluated by blood bank personnel. If you have a question about specific medications or medical conditions, call the blood bank at 423-408-7500.

  • The Viking Motorcycle Club will have an interest meeting this Wednesday, August 25, during homeroom in Mr. Strickland’s room 3418. All students are welcome!

  • After school strength and conditioning for wrestling will be Monday through Thursday. If you are interested in wrestling, you are encouraged to attend. If you have any questions speak with Coach Shuler.

  • Class Officer applications for all grade levels are available in homeroom announcements on Canvas.  Interested students must complete and submit the application by Monday, August 23.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Sauceman in the library or email [email protected].

  • FCA will meet in the auditorium every Friday after school.

  •  All library books due from last year should be turned in as soon as possible.  If turned in during the month of August, all fines will be deleted.  Beginning Sept. 1, fines will begin accruing and won’t be deleted.
