All students who are running for grade-level class officer positions need to turn in their applications to their grade-level sponsors AND record their speeches with Mrs. McMakin by Friday, August 23rd. If students have questions, they should see their grade sponsor (9th McKay, 10th Wood, 11th Perdue, and 12th Sauceman). Junior and Senior Court applications are also due to grade-level sponsors (11th – Perdue; 12th – Sauceman) by Friday, August 23rd.  Voting for both class officers and Court will be on Friday, August 30th.

There will be a mandatory Robotics meeting next Monday after school in Room 1138, Mrs. Givney's Room.

Mandatory Softball Meeting on Monday, August 26th right after school (2:30) in the auditorium.  If you cannot attend please come by my office as soon as you can to get the information. 

Senior National Honor Society Members, meet in the library this Friday immediately following the Beta meeting.

Underclassmen, faculty, staff, and administration photos will be Mon., Aug. 19.  Students may pick up an ordering envelope in homeroom or in guidance. All photos must be pre-paid.  Students may pay the photographer on picture day (cash or checks to Lifetouch), or photos may be ordered online at mylifetouch.com with the code AA509027Y0. Students who do not wish to purchase photos may still have their photo made for the yearbook at no charge.

Senior and Junior Court and all grade level class officer applications (with a copy of the speech) are due to the respective grade-level sponsor by Aug. 23.  If students have questions, they should see their grade sponsor (9th McKay, 10th Wood, 11th Perdue, and 12th Sauceman).  Junior and Senior Court AND Class Officer voting will be August 30 during homeroom. 

Voting for senior superlatives will be during homeroom on Aug 23.

Reminder: A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Know your emergency evacuation routes at school and at home. Don’t forget to identify a secondary evacuation route in case your primary route is not available.

If you checked out a summer reading book from the THS library, please return it ASAP.

We will not be able to refund any money lost in the vending machines. If you choose to purchase food or drinks you are taking the risk of losing whatever amount you have inserted in the machines.

Back to School Bash will be held this Thurs. August 22
nd from 6pm-9pm.

Starting this Thursday, FCA will meet after school in the auditorium from 2:45-3:15.  For the time being we are going to switch from Fridays to Thursday.  Looking forward to seeing everyone there. 

Viking Buddies will meet today during homeroom in Mrs. Vance's room (1156A)? Anyone is interested in joining should come to the meeting and fill out a form.

Anyone interested in wrestling and not playing a fall sport we will be holding a meeting on the Viking hall stage for preseason wrestling at 3 pm on Wednesday.

Mrs. Sutherland’s ACT ACADEMY will be taught from 3:00 –4:00 pm on fourteen WONDERFUL Wednesdays in the THS Library after school. It’s FREE. We will PRACTICE ACT questions & discuss all things ACT.

First Priority Club is meeting each Wednesday morning from 7:00 – 7:15 a.m. in room 2447, Mrs. Amber Davis’s drama.

 : Thursday, this week, August 22nd from 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm at Central Christian Church. We need EVERYONE to attend!  You’ll be a First Priority student leader after this training!
